FAQs
Q. Do you have fresh-cut fries?
A. Yes!
Q. Why don’t your cheese curds melt?
A. Cheese curds are not supposed to melt. They can, if introduced to very high temperatures. However, as hot as our gravy is, it still will not melt them. This is a good thing! Unlike shredded cheese which melts into the gravy, cheese curds are meant to hold their shape. It is also harder for cheese curds to melt when they are fresh. This is also a good thing! A melted cheese curd can be a sign that it is not as fresh as it should be, though it doesn’t mean that it’s not fresh.
Q. Why do your cheese curds squeak so much?
A. They squeak because they’re fresh! Cheese curds can last up to 3 weeks in the fridge; however, they tend to lose their squeak after 2 or 3 days. A non-squeaky cheese curd can still be fresh, but a squeaky cheese curd means it’s super fresh!
Q. Are your fries gluten-free?
A. Yes!
Q. Why do your fries get soggy quicker compared to other restaurants?
A. Most take-out restaurants now use what we call a coated fry. This coating is specifically put on the fry to prevent sogginess, which specifically enhances the end user experience when ordering fries for delivery. However, because our fries are fresh-cut, we do not have this coating on them, nor would we want to have it on them. This is why our fries tend to get soggier quicker than other restaurants. However, sometimes it could just be the potato, or the process as well. Our fries are best enjoyed immediately!
Q. Do you offer vegetarian gravy?
A. Unfortunately, we have discontinued our vegetarian gravy option due to low volume.
Q. Is your gravy gluten-free?
A. Yes!
Q. Is your gravy halal?
A. Unfortunately, it is not.
Q. What kind of cooking oil do you use?
A. 100% sunflower oil.
Q. Do you put any other food items in your deep fryers?
A. No! We only put French fries in our deep fryers. This means our fries are completely gluten-free.
Q. Can I order my fries without salt?
A. Yes! But please note we soak our fries in a salt brine.
